Gunnison Gorge and The Black Canyon of the Gunnison

After several years camping at Rosy Lane Campground on the Taylor River we decided to mix it up and head down river.  Our guide Joel from Gunnison River Guides had been talking up floating the Black Canyon for years!  Finally we took him up on it. He called Al from Gunnison River Expeditions and next thing we knew, we were set up to be one of just a few groups lucky enough to get let on the river each year.  Our only regret was running the upper in one day instead of camping a two day float.
